Being the most touristy place in Argentina, Puerto Iguazu has a wide range of accommodation to choose from. There are two main areas where hostels and hotels are located. One is in the town itself, mostly near the bus station and the other is out of town on the road to the waterfalls. Many of the places that advertise themselves as hostels have massive swimming pools and look more like hotels. As soon as you arrive at the bus stop you will be presented with a plethora of accommodation options.

To be honest, when I went with my wife we headed straight for the Tourist Information Office (Av Victoria Aguirre 311). They recommended Costa Rammon Camping (tel: 15502243 email: costaramoniguazu@hotmail.com). We camped on a cliff by the river for $4 per person.

HostelWorld offers a lot of options. A popular option is Marcopolo Inn for party goers. It is in town and costs $12.27 for a dorm bed.

On the way to the Cataratas or falls is the HI affiliated Hostel Puerto Iguazu which boasts all the standard amenities as well as the largest swimming pool in the area. This is another party hostel. Dorm beds are $10.55. The usual HI membership discounts apply. You can contact them for booking at reservasiguazu@hostel-inn.com. When looking at reviews on booking sites pay more attention to people who have written more than 1 review. It does look like a lot of hostels with dirty sheets have been writing glowing reviews for themselves.
