Travel Information for Puerto Iguazu

To get to Puerto Iguazu bus terminal follow the main street (Av Victoria Aguirre) up the hill and turn left onto Avenue Cordoba. From the bus terminal there are plenty of companies offering luxury buses to Buenos Aires and cities along the route south such as Posadas. There is plenty of competition for your tourist bucks so hunt around a bit and you might get a small discount.

From the bus terminal there are regular buses to Iguazu National Park ($1.3), Foz do Iguacu in Brazil ($1.3) and Ciudad del Este in Paraguay ($2). Remember to get off the bus at immigration in Brazil. UK nationals don't need visas. Americans and Japanese do. Ciudad del Este is primarily a place to go duty free shopping (perhaps all those stolen cameras end up here!) or to catch further transport on to see the world's second biggest eco-wrecking dam, Itaipu Dam.

Bus from Puerto Iguazu to Buenos Aires costs $53

It's overnight and probably the most comfortable bus you will ride in South America.
